Frontlines has been blessed with an amazing and dedicated group of people over the years who are truly committed to building a strong community in Weston and
surrounding neighbourhoods.
Our Culinary Arts program is a 4 week long program for young adults from the ages 18 to 29. The young adults in this program will receive 4 weeks of hands-on experience in the kitchen and theoretical instruction from our chef followed by a 5 week work placement with an external organization.
As part of the training program, they receive their food handling certificate, smart serve, and much more. Students help prepare meals for our after-school programs, our weekly grocery pick up, and other programs at different agencies. Students also help prepare food for our catering business, and in some cases, they take part in serving at events across the GTA.
Students of the In the Line of Fire program created a cookbook for violence awareness and violence prevention strategies. Help us spark conversations at the dinner table and in our communities. Funds from book sales will go back into Frontline’s violence prevention programs. Students help prepare meals for our after-school programs, plus other programs at different agencies. They take part in preparing the food for our catering business, and in some cases, they take part in serving at events across the GTA.
