Sanique Walters is a project manager, educator and program developer. She earned her Master in
Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Social Science from York University. With over 10 years of experience, Sanique’s dedication to project management and program development shines through her unwavering commitment to her work.
In her most recent role at Nia Centre for the Arts, Sanique has played a pivotal role in shaping and
coordinating culturally tailored programs, workshops and events specifically designed for youth, young creatives and artists.
Her primary mission is to foster the creation of safe spaces for marginalized communities, where creative expression, community co-expression, wellness and self-care are not only encouraged but celebrated. Sanique currently holds a position on the Advisory Board for Adornment Stories, where she continues her mission to infuse self-care and wellness with its political significance through artistic expressions.
