Stachen Frederick

Stachen Frederick started working at Frontlines in July 2016.

She has over 20 years of experience in the field of community and program development internationally and in Canada (Ottawa, Greater Toronto Region including Peel Region). She has done a number of consultancy jobs for organizations such as the Jane and Finch Family and Community Centre- The Spot, the AIDS Committee of Toronto and Gateway for New Canadians. She has her own not for profit organization called BrAIDS for AIDS. She was with the YMCA of Greater Toronto for 6 and a half years with her last position as Director of Youth and Employment Programs. She has been recognized byBlack History Ottawa, the High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago and YMCA Canada, How She Hustles with CBC Toronto, the Black Health Alliance, The Minister of Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship , L’Oreal Paris Canada and 100 Accomplished Black Women Network.

She is a poet and dancer and loves travelling internationally for work and for pleasure.

She says “Frontlines is a place where relationships are built, hugs are shared and children and youth continue to foster their skills.”
